HOW WOULD YOU LIKE TO EXPERIENCE SPAIN, GERMANY OR FRANCE WITHOUT LEAVING HOME? It’s easy: just HOST A SPANISH, GERMAN OR FRENCH teenager FOR 3-4 WEEKS. The goal of this program is for a student to assimilate into your family’s routine, whether laid back, or active, for the few weeks they’re here in order to experience American life and culture. Two different groups of French arrive: June 15-July 8, and July 3– July 25. The Spanish group arrives June 21 – July 22. And a few German students arrive at varied times. There are no planned activities, and no need to “run around” getting them from meeting to meeting or to entertain them outside the home. Students are typically extremely polite, very grateful to be welcomed into your family, and are happy to participate in all family activities, including church. We've hosted summer exchange students through TDL these past 3 years and look forward to hosting another this year. Mary O'Donnell carefully matches the students and families to ensure a positive experience for everyone. Our children benefited by learning other cultures, developing gracious hospitality, and practicing French. It's been an enriching experience for our whole family.

Terre des Langues was a wonderful group to work with. Hosting a student was a new experience for our family and brought a wealth of fond memories that we will treasure always. The selection process is thorough in trying to match families with a student that will be a good fit--especially for new families. Can't wait to host again!
