DAR Presents Award to ROTC Cadet

The Fairfax Station chapter presented the award to Naadia S. Puri.

The Fairfax Station chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution has presented an award to Naadia S. Puri, a Fairfax High School Air Force Junior ROTC cadet.

Puri, who attends Fairfax High School, was presented with the DAR ROTC Bronze Award, which is given to student cadets of “outstanding ability and achievement,” according to a press release from the DAR.

Schools select honorees based on dependability, leadership and good character. Students also must be in the upper 25 percent of their classes in ROTC and in academic subjects.

The DAR was founded in 1890 to promote patriotism, preserve American history and support education.

We need a few young, energetic, persevering and patriotic ladies like Naadia Savera Puri, to lead the USA in the future.
I have known Naadia for several years, and she truly deserves the accolade and award.
