A fire was reported at 9:10 a.m. Thursday in the 5900 block of Colchester Road, according to Fairfax County Fire and Rescue.

There were no injuries, said spokesman Dan Schmidt of Fairfax County Fire and Rescue.

The one-alarm fire was put out "in about five minutes," he noted. The fire was located "near a construction site," he said.

A police officer was stationed at the intersection of Popes Head Road and Colchester Road. Responders left the scene around 10:40 a.m.

BNN reported that "multiple structures" were on fire.

No surrounding homes were evacuated.
