Injured Woman Cut Out of Car in Lorton Road Crash

The accident occurred Monday afternoon, at around 2 p.m.

 

One woman is in the hospital Monday afternoon, after a two-car crash on Lorton Road and Gunston Cove Road. Police investigators are at the scene to determine who was at fault in the crash, which totaled a Toyota Sienna and a Toyota Corolla. 

A rescue team cut the female driver of the Toyota Corolla from her car at around 2:30 p.m.; she reportedly suffered non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the minivan and his passenger were not hurt in the crash.

Fairfax County Police, Fairfax County Fire and Rescue and Virginia State Police were at the scene.   

Lorton Road was reopened at around 2:45 p.m.
