The Braddock Road Youth Club ’98 Elite team captured the 2012 Virginia Youth Soccer Association State Cup this weekend.

The 1-0 victory against Loudon ’98 was secured in a double-overtime goal by team member Lily Weber. The youth under 13 girls team will move on to the U.S. Youth Soccer Association Region I Championships in Lancaster, Pa. this summer.

The team will compete against teams from Connecticut, Delaware, Pennsylvania, and more. The team is currently ranked No. 1 in Virginia and No. 5 in their region.

The youth club attracts team members from Fairfax Station and the surrounding area.
