On the above map, the addresses are block numbers, not specific home or business addresses.
The following items are from recent police updates through Sept. 28 from the West Springfield, Franconia and Sully police districts of the Fairfax County Police Department.
Burglary (marked in blue on above map), 5700 block of Smoke Rise Lane, 9/20/12, 1:25 p.m. A resident reported someone entered her home and stole her purse. Entry was made through an unlocked door.

Larcenies (marked in red on above map)
- 6000 block of Little Brook Court - tools from vehicles
- 6100 block of Mountain Springs Lane - wallet from business
- 4900 block of Andrea Avenue - medication from residence
- 5200 block of Pommeroy Drive - front license plate from vehicle
- 6100 block of Rolling Road - laptop computer from vehicle
No vehicles were reported stolen at the time.
