Police: Two Burglaries Reported in Burke Area

The following items are from recent police updates through Oct. 31 from the Franconia, West Springfield and Sully police districts of the Fairfax County Police Department.
Burglary (green on above map), 10700 block of Paynes Church Drive, 10/25/12, 7:40 p.m. A resident reported someone entered their home and stole jewelry. Forced entry was made through a rear door.
Burglary (green on above map), 7800 block of Tower Woods Drive, 10/26/12, 6 p.m. A resident reported someone entered the home and stole cash and jewelry. Entry was made through an unlocked side door.

Larcenies (blue on above map):
- 11100 block of Robert Carter Road - cell phone from school
- 6100 block of Backlick Road - cell phone and cash from residence
- 6600 block of Backlick Road - cell phone from business
- 7200 block of Commerce Street - pair of shoes from business
- 6000 block of Burke Commons Road - 12-pack of beer from business
- 6100 block of Rolling Road - jewelry from residence
No vehicle thefts were reported at the time.
