Parkway vet clinic is the best. Dr. Laney rhymes is the most caring and knowledgeable vet we've ever met. He has cared for all of our 13 cats and many feral cats we've fostered.

Hi Arlene! Thanks for the comment. Parkway Vet is in Burke (so they aren't eligible for Lorton's Readers' Choice), but their Burke Patch directory listing is here and we're sure they'd appreciate if it you left a review. Looks like other people love them, too. http://burke.patch.com/listings/parkway-veterinary-clinic

We see Dr Bostrom in Clifton. She is new to the office but is very approachable and honest. She seems very knowledgeable and happy to share that knowledge with out making her clients' pets (oh I mean masters) feel stupid or a bother. My puppy (all 130 pounds of him) likes her also.

Dr. Bostrom in Clifton is very thorough and careful with diagnoses. Our beloved dog has cancer and Dr. Bostrom has been remarkably careful in monitoring his treatment. She is quick to let us know the results of tests and very patient in explaining what those results mean. In addition, she and her staff are always friendly and cheerful and, most importantly, very well organized. We are in a sad situation but I really believe our dog is getting the best treatment possible thanks to them.

Dr. Bostrom continues the tradition of the small town vet in the Town of Clifton. We met her only recently for an introductory appointment for our cat. We were impressed with the clinic's wide range of capabilities, and with Dr. Bostrom's communication skills. When calling or visiting the office, we have always felt welcome. There is a personal touch that is not always present in a larger clinic.

On the recommendation of our traditional vet in Springfield, we started taking our German Shepherd to Holistic Veterinary Health in Clifton about 6 months ago, for acupuncture and osteopathic adjustments, to help his chronic stiffness and weak hind end. Dr. Maureen McIntyre's "body work" on him has produced results that are nothing short of AMAZING for our dog, now 12 years old. He is much more mobile, and often plays just like he's a puppy. She has given him a new lease on life, and he is even happy when we arrive at the clinic. I was a skeptic, and am now an advocate for holistic care. If your dog is in pain, PLEASE go see Dr. McIntyre!

Holistic vet health is not a traditional veterinary clinic in terms of routine vet services but nonetheless Dr. McIntyre is deserving of high praise and recognition for the miracles that she performs.
Our dog was born with severe hip dysphasia and was not a candidate for replacement surgery. We were getting advice to put him down when a neighbor asked if we'd tried alternative, holistic medicine. Enter Dr. McIntyre with acupuncture and alignment treatment....12 years later our dog is still living a happy and relatively healthy life with regular visits.
I've also been impressed with her continuing education. She continues to expand her training and knowledge and has learned new techniques over the years that have benefited our dogs healing.
The bottom line is results and Dr.Mcintyre delivers! Our dog is the poster child for acupuncture because she has literally changed his life.

I have worked with Dr. McIntyre at Holistic Veterinary Health in Clifton for many years now. She has not only worked with my horses, but my dogs as well! She is an amazing vet who listens and cares deeply for all animals. She is able to combine her knowledge and understanding of both Eastern and Western medicine to assist with many ailments. I would recommend her to anyone for both large and small animals!

I am so happy Dr. Bostrom is at the Animal Clinic of Clifton. The clinic itself is charming—there is ample parking and no shopping center traffic to contend with. Once inside, it is peaceful--unlike larger practices with multiple vets and crowded waiting rooms. The staff is friendly, professional and competent and they know my animals and make us feel welcome. I love having the same vet see my pets. Dr. Bostrom is kind, incredibly knowledgeable, and thoroughly explains recommended treatments, procedures and meds. She also has a lovely sense of humor, which I appreciate. We have a number of pets and I am pleased at the level of personalized care and follow-up each one receives. I highly recommend Dr. Bostrom and the Animal Clinic of Clifton.

Dr. McIntyre at Holistic Veterinary Health in Clifton has treated my horses and dogs for many years now. She has helped me with a very difficult management issue with one horse, and now is treating my Intermediare I horse and is helping him reach his potential. She has also treated the horses and ponies at Northern Virginia Therapeutic Riding Program which keeps them comfortable doing the job that provides therapy for so many individuals. I highly recommend her, especially for animals who have an obscure ailment that has not been able to have a traditional diagnosis.

I met Dr. McIntyre at Holistic Veterinary Health in Clifton a few years back when I took my 12 year old cat to her, due to problems he was having with his ACL. He was in a lot of pain, and had difficulty walking. She performed a series of acupuncture treatments. Not only did this take care of his problem, but he was thoroughly relaxed during the treatments and he warmed up to her immediately. I reccomend her very strongly, she has a vast knowledge of holistic treatments, genuinely cares for the animals and tailors the treatment to meet their specific needs.

Dr. Bostrum is terrific. When Dr. Van L. departed we assumed, sadly, that we'd need to search-out another vet to care for our menagerie. Before there was a chance to look, our older terrier suddenly became quite ill. We called the clinic to see if there was a referral available and were introduce to Ylva. She was concerned, terribly caring, and took a very conservative approach, which I think was far less costly than what we'd prepared ourselves for. Our dog proved her out. She's our new vet, and we have recommended her several times already.
