Robinson Student Wins Merit Scholarship

A Robinson Secondary School student has earned a college-sponsored National Merit scholarship.
Nathaniel Banks, of Robinson Secondary School, earned the scholarship sponsored by Vanderbilt University. His concentration will be music, according to a press release from Fairfax County Public Schools.
The scholarships provide between $500 to $2,000 to students for up to four years of undergraduate studies. Seventeen Fairfax County students won the college-sponsored awards this year, with the majority of the winners being students at the Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology.
