The CVHS Presidential Visit: What You Need to Know
Traffic will likely be significantly impacted.
President Obama will visit Centreville High School on Saturday. Whether you plan to attend or not, the appearance has the potential to impact your day. Here's what you need to know:
Can I attend the event? Not unless you have a ticket. The Obama campaign distributed a limited amount of tickets earlier this week. Those who have tickets may enter starting at 2 p.m. Arriving early is best for security screening purposes.
What will the president talk about? The event is called "A Vision for Virginia's Middle Class." Virginia has emerged as a battleground state, and this is an official campaign appearance.
Will traffic be impacted? Most likely. The event doesn't start until 4 p.m., but doors open at 2 p.m. People will likely arrive much earlier to secure good spots; so be prepared for extra traffic at any hour.
If you're passing by the intersection of Braddock Road and Union Mill Road, near CVHS, allow plenty of extra time to arrive at the event or to your final destination. Traffic may also become congested near Route 28 and Highway 29, according to Del. Tim Hugo (R-40th district), who sent out an email blast to constituents this week.
What are Republicans doing on Saturday? There will be a protest rally in front of Centreville High School starting at 2 p.m. The Sully District Republicans will also be knocking on doors throughout the district, urging people to vote for Mitt Romney.

What a joke. President Obama's vision for the middle class is lower house values, lower net worth, fewer jobs, less paying jobs, higher taxes, fewer doctors, waiting lines for doctors and long term debt to encumber our grandchildren. But if the Democrat Planned Parenthood has its way, we will abort most of those grandchildren - especially the girls in gendercide. But thank you for the food stamps. Now we can go buy slurpees.

my guess: the next terrorist will have American roots, a disillusioned republican, probably with a strong flair for all things mechanical and right to bear arms.

You mean another Timothy McVeigh? If you'll recall the '90s, many on the far right were supportive of Timothy McVeigh and David Koresh, with the latter being a confirmed child molester. These are the very people that now seem to be controlling the Republican party.
