Free “Empower Your Dreams” Seminars Scheduled

New Year’s resolutions, when they don’t involve losing weight, often have something to do with managing time and money. The beginning of the year is the time we look at our lives and make an attempt to fix what we perceive to be lacking.

“Who doesn’t want to manage his or her life better?” asks Elder James Ritchie, a missionary serving in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS). Ritchie, a former business executive, has developed a three-session seminar to help anyone manage time better, achieve financial independence on any income, and identify the guiding principles in their lives in order to live more happily and productively.
Ritchie and colleagues at the Franklin Covey company have impacted the lives of thousands through the ten-week course “Launching Leaders,” taught on four continents. The “Empower Your Dreams” seminars distill the essence from the longer course into three evenings, which can prove life-changing.

Ritchie and his wife Carolyn, are the parents of eight children and have 39 grandchildren. An entrepreneur, Ritchie came out of retirement to work for FranklinQuest (the predecessor to Franklin Covey) and has also served as a mission president for the LDS Church in Roanoke, as the president of the Missionary Training Center in Ghana, Africa, and as the area director of the Church Educational System in Africa. He also spent three years at Brigham Young University-Hawaii as the volunteer director of the Willis Center for International Entrepreneurship.
Beginning Sunday evening, January 12, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. and continuing on January 19 and 26, Elder and Sister Richey promise a dynamic course designed to help anyone clearly define their life’s goals and take the steps to achieve them.
