Help the Robinson Singers & Select Women's Ensemble go to the World Choir Games in Riga, Latvia

The Robinson Singers and Select Women’s Ensemble will be making a return trip to the World Choir Games in July, 2014.  Following successful performances at the 2012 World Choir Games in Cincinnati Ohio, the groups will be making the journey to Riga Latvia for their first international trip.

Because of their successful performances in 2012, the ensembles have the opportunity to compete at the Champions Level.   Starting in August, before the first day of school, the ensembles began rehearsing music to prepare for the competition.  For many of the students, it will be their first trip overseas and their first international competition.  The ensembles are working hard to prepare a competition program and a friendship concert program.  At the World Choir Games, the students will have the opportunity to hear choirs from all around the world and participate in the opening ceremonies as well as a large open air concert at the conclusion of the first week.  It is truly an immersion experience into the world of music and a real-life experience that shows music is truly a universal language.

Throughout the year the students will be working hard to raise funds for the trip.  The cost per student is approximately $3,000.  I am hoping to raise funds for the students to help them with the cost of this trip and to provide additional things like tour clothing and additional meals while we are in Latvia.  If you would like to help the students prepare for this trip by making a donation, please visit http://www.robinsonsings.org/make-a-donation/
