Northern Virginia Players Presents: Beauty and the Beast JR

“Be Our Guest” and step into the enchanted world of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast JR featuring songs from the Academy Award–winning film.  You will be transported to the heart of a quaint French town where Belle yearns for something more than her provincial life.  When her father, Maurice, becomes lost in the woods he seeks shelter in an old castle.  However, he is imprisoned for trespassing by the master of the house, a horrible Beast.  Belle surrenders her own freedom in order to save her father.  Soon after, she and the Beast discover there is much more to each other beyond first impressions.  But will it be too late for the Beast to change his fate?  Join us for this fascinating tale of love and true Beauty!

In keeping with our commitment to community service, Northern Virginia Players will be donating part of the ticket proceeds to a cause very close to our hearts:  Glitter Matters.  Ellie Schleyer, an 11-year old girl, is battling a very rare brain disorder that to date has been untreatable except to minimize her discomfort.  Since the cause of the disease is still undiagnosed, research for the condition is in its introductive state and a non-profit effort has been established to raise the needed funding for research and assist her family with mounting medical bills.  For more information about Ellie and Glitter Matters, visit glittermatters.com.
