Clifton Home Tour Next Week

Highly anticipated Clifton Homes Tour is on May 19

One of Clifton’s most anticipated events, the annual Home Tour, is just over a week away.

The event, put on by the Clifton Community Woman’s Club and now in its 39th year, will take residents in a tour of five homes in the town on May 19. Money raised from the tour goes to various charitable organizations.

“We give nearly $25,000 to charities each year just based on the ticket sales from these home tours,” said tour chairwoman Lynne Garvey-Hodge.

Tickets are $20 if purchased in advance and $25 at the door. Five homes will be showcased, and guides will be on hand to offer the history of each property. A shuttle service will be provided for homes that are not within walking distance of the town’s Main Street.

“They will see five very eclectic homes,” Garvey-Hodge said. “One is a small Clifton dwelling that has been added on to and renovated. There is another in Clifton Heights, one of the newer areas of Clifton.”
