Clifton Horse Parade, Tree Lighting Saturday

The annual horse parade starts at 2 p.m. Saturday in Clifton.

Clifton’s streets will be filled with dressed up horses and riders Saturday for the annual holiday horse parade.

The parade starts at 2 p.m. Saturday.

The route starts on the flood plain on Clifton Road and continues onto Main Street and Chapel Road and ends at Kings Field. Kings Field will be the site of costume judging and post-parade refreshments for area residents.

The Clifton Horse Society coordinates the parade each year to promote equestrian activities in the area. For more information on the Clifton Horse Society, go to www.cliftonhorsesociety.org.

The annual town tree lighting will be in Ayre Square just after dusk Saturday. It will include carols and bonfires.

The holiday train display at the Fairfax Station Railroad Museum will be open from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Saturday and from noon – 4 p.m. Sunday.
