Clifton Store, Giant Food Store Well Stocked for 'Snowquester'

What did you buy in preparation for the Virginia winter storm?

The Clifton Store and the Giant Food store in Clifton are fully stocked and ready for the snow.

"As long as I have electricity we'll be open," said Clifton Store owner Judy McNamara. "We've got sidewalk salt, eggs, milk, pork chops, bread, ice cream, sodas and beer and ice and food. And what anybody else needs they can come down here to buy it."

Fairfax Station and Clifton are expected to get up to 5 inches (worst case scenario - 12 inches) of snow Wednesday. 

The Clifton Giant was also ready for the storm.

"We haven't run out of anything and we won't until after the storm is over," said a Giant employee. 

Typical purchases before a major weather event at the store: 

  • Milk
  • Bread 
  • Eggs
  • Batteries
  • Bottled water
