Students Awarded Back-To-School Shopping Spree

The Salvation Army and Target help 25 Fairfax County students gear up for school

Backpacks, pens, pencils and more were tossed into carts at the Fairfax Target earlier this week. Twenty-five area students were recipients of $80 Target gift cards and shopped for school supplies with volunteers from the Salvation Army, Target and the Fairfax City Police.Β

Each child who participated in this program had been assisted through the Salvation Army's Social Services within the past six months. The goal of the "Target Back-To-School Spree" was to prepare kids to succeed in school with brand new supplies.
