3. W&OD Trail Hit and Run: A Fairfax County General District Court judge granted bond Wednesday for a McLean woman accused of hitting a man on the W & OD Trail. The 28-year-old woman is accused of hitting a bicyclist during a five-mile, high-speed trip down the W&OD Trail in Vienna and Reston on Saturday. The real question, witnesses, police and those in the bike community say, is what happens next to protect trail users?

4. Herndon Step Team: The members of the Herndon High School Step Team are now officially national champions for 2013. The team, under the direction of Coach Gary Bushrod, recently became the 2013 Youth Step USA National Champions after beating out all the competition in Harrisburg, Penn. And that's not an easy feat when the majority of the members are brand-new to the squad.

7. Falls Church Closing: Hundreds of people filed through the doors of Anthony’s Restaurant last weekend for the last time.
