Northern Virginia Community College Symphony Orchestra’s Fall Concert

  • Where: Ernst Community Cultural Center Theater, 8333 Little River Turnpike, Annandale
  • When: Friday, November 11th at 8 p.m.
  • Why Go: The theme for the night will be “Musical Gems of the Czech Heritage”, including selections by Dvorak. Richard Rodgers’ Victory at Sea will also be featured in honor of Veterans Day.
  • Price: $15 for general admission; $10 for senior citizens and students; children are free

South County Secondary School Stage Productions of “Anne of Green Gables” and “Macbeth”

  • Where: 8501 Silverbrook Road, Lorton
  • When: “Anne of Green Gables”: Friday, November 11th at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, November 12th at 2 p.m.; “Macbeth”: Saturday, November 12th at 7:30 p.m.
  • Why Go: “Anne of Green Gables” focuses on the adventures of a young redheaded girl growing up in Canada, based on the novel by L.M. Montgomery. William Shakespeare’s tragedy “Macbeth” revolves around a man’s quest for the throne and the acts that he and his wife are willing to commit to achieve this end.
  • Price: $10 for general admission; $8 for senior citizens and students

The Robinson Marketplace

  • Where: Robinson Secondary School, 5035 Sideburn Road, Fairfax
  • When: Saturday, November 12th from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • Why Go: More than 70 crafters, home businesses, boutique shops, and specialty food vendors will be represented at this year’s Robinson Marketplace. There will also be a raffle for prizes, “make and take” craft stations, and live entertainment provided by RSS students.
  • Price: Admission is FREE

Falls Church High School Craft Show

  • Where: 7521 Jaguar Trail, Falls Church
  • When: Saturday, November 12th from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • Why Go: The FCHS Annual Craft Show will feature more than 50 vendors offering a variety of handmade items, including: pottery, jewelry, glasswork, candles, woodwork, fabric, and more. Food will also be available, as well as music and games.
  • Price: Admission is FREE

Adopt-A-Lab

  • Where: Petco, 9230 Old Keene Mill Road, Burke
  • When: Sunday, November 13th from 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
  • Why Go: This event, hosted by the Lab Rescue of the Labrador Retriever Club of the Potomac, will attempt to match homeless labs with individuals and families looking to adopt. Click on the provided link for more information, including photos of available dogs.
  • Price: Admission is FREE
