- Falls Church Hight School Haunted House; 7521 Jaguar Trail, Falls Church; Friday, Oct. 28th and Saturday, Oct. 29th from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. (“less scary” version on Saturday from 1-4 p.m.)
- South County Secondary School Haunted House; 8501 Silverbrook Road, Lorton; Friday, Oct. 28th from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
- Haunted Pond; Hidden Pond Nature Center, 8511 Greeley Boulevard, Springfield; Friday, Oct. 28th from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
- Clifton Haunted Trail; Buckley Park, Clifton; Saturday, Oct. 29th from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
- “Howloween” Dog Costume Contest and Boneyard Hunt; Lake Accotink, 7500 Accotink Park Road, Springfield; Saturday, Oct. 29th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

- Halloween BINGO Party; Annandale Volunteer Fire Department, 7128 Columbia Pike, Annandale; Saturday, Oct. 29th at 1 p.m.
- Haunted Hayride; Laurel Hill Park, Lorton; Saturday, Oct. 29th at 1, 3, and 5 p.m.
- Ghost Train; Burke Lake Park, 7315 Ox Road, Fairfax Station; Saturday, Oct. 29th and Sunday, Oct. 30th from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Halloween Costume Run; South Run RECenter, 7550 Reservation Drive, Springfield; Sunday, Oct. 30th at 9 a.m.
- Witch Watch; George Mason University, 4400 University Drive, Fairfax; Sunday, Oct. 30th from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
High School Varsity Football Home Games at South County Secondary School, and Robinson Secondary School

- Where: South County Secondary School, 8501 Silverbrook Road, Lorton; Robinson Secondary School, 5035 Sideburn Road, Fairfax
- When: Friday, October 28th; all games start at 7:30 p.m.
- Why Go: We’re nearing the end of the high school football season, so don’t miss these home games while you have the chance. RSS will be playing their homecoming game this Friday night, and you can click on the link for a complete list of pre-game activities.
- Price: Admission varies. Please contact your local school for details.
- Where: West Springfield District Police Station, 6140 Rolling Road, Springfield
- When: Saturday, October 29th from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m.
- Why Go: Kids ages 6-12 will travel through an obstacle course designed to teach proper bicycle safety. Police vehicles and equipment will also be on display, as well as an appearance by McGruff the Crime Dog. All children are required to bring their own bike and safety helmet.

- Where: Lake Braddock Secondary School, 9200 Burke Lake Road, Burke
- When: Saturday, October 29th from 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m.
- Why Go: The Lake Braddock Secondary School combined choirs will perform a kid friendly concert featuring music from popular Disney films. Proceeds from this event will go to support ECHO, which is a program that serves local families in need.
- Price: 2 canned food items OR $2 per person
Lucky Dog Animal Rescue Adoption Event
- Where: Petco, 7434 Little River Turnpike, Annandale
- When: Sunday, October 30th from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m.
- Why Go: If you’ve been thinking about adopting a pet, head to Petco this Sunday where dogs will be waiting to be matched up with the perfect companion. Volunteers will be available to answer questions you may have about any dog or the adoption process. Get ready to meet your new best friend!
- Price: Event is FREE
Ethan Bortnick Benefit Concert for Children’s National Medical Center
- Where: The Waterford, 6715 Commerce Street, Springfield
- When: Sunday, October 30th at 4 p.m.
- Why Go: Ethan Bortnick is a world renowned 10 year-old child prodigy and pianist, and proceeds from this benefit concert will support Washington DC’s Children’s National Medical Center. Doors open at 3:00 p.m. with food available for sale and a cash bar. There will also be a reception at 2:00 for VIP ticket holders, which will include a “meet and greet” with Ethan and preferred seating at the concert.
- Price: Tickets are $25 for adults; $15 for children and students; $100 VIP
