High School Varsity Football at South County Secondary School, Lake Braddock Secondary School, and .

  • When: Friday, Sept. 2. All games start at 7:30 p.m.
  • Why Go: Are you ready for some High School Football? Catch these home game season openers and support your local teams this Friday night.

Block Party at the Workhouse Arts Center

  • When: Saturday, Sept. 3 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Why Go: Enjoy an afternoon of family friendly activities, including: Studio Artists Sidewalk Sale; "Flavors of the Community" Food & Drinks; Neighborhood Talent Show; Friends and Family Exhibition Reception; and Live Music. They will also be accepting charitable donations of non-perishable food items.
  • Price: FREE

All About Bats Campfire at Hidden Oaks Nature Center 

  • Where: , 7701 Royce Street, Annandale.
  • When: Saturday, Sept, 3 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Why Go: Look for bats flying in the late summer sky, then head to the campfire where you'll hear bat stories and learn facts about bats. You'll also get to toast marshmallows over the campfire. Registration is required for this event.  For ages 4 and up.
  • Price: $5 for Fairfax County Residents/ $7 for non-county residents

Pakistan Festival USA - Silver Jubilee Celebrations

  • Where: Bull Run Regional Park, 7700 Bull Run Drive, Centreville.
  • When: Sunday, Sept. 4 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Why Go: This annual festival celebrates the independence of Pakistan. There will be Pakistani cuisine, non-alcoholic drinks, hand crafted clothing, jewelry, mehndi merchandise, and more. Bring the whole family!
  • Price: Admission is FREE

Clifton Lions Club Labor Day Car Show & Chili Cook Off 

  • Where: Main Street in Clifton
  • When: Monday, Sept. 5 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Why Go: Enjoy the small town atmosphere of Historic Clifton while you peruse the antique cars on display and sample some homemade chili.
