6th Annual ARTS by George! Benefit Event at GMU Center for the Arts

Proceeds from this benefit will provide student scholarships at George Mason University's College of Visual and Performing Arts and the Great Performances at Mason at the Center for the Arts.

5:00 p.m. -

• Student showcases in art, music, dance, theater, computer game design, and film and video studies
• Cuisine and bars provided throughout the event
• Silent Auction of arts-related items and experiences, such as:  private lessons with CVPA faculty; opportunities to conduct Mason music ensembles; artwork by students, faculty and professional artists; tickets to professional and collegiate sporting events; and vacations to destinations around Virginia and the rest of the country

8:00 p.m. -

• Concert Hall performance by renowned musicians Michael Feinstein and Marvin Hamlisch.  Feinstein and Hamlisch team up for a melodic journey through The Great American Songbook, showcasing the best of popular music from Broadway to Hollywood.  This double headliner will feature each artist playing and singing his own set followed by a joint showcase with both performing together.

9:45 p.m. -

• Private champagne and dessert reception on stage with Michael Feinstein and Marvin Hamlisch

Tickets to the benefit are $200 per person ($120 tax-deductible)
