•  "Be Mine, Feline"

Where/When: Fairfax County Animal Shelter, Saturday 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
Why Go: The shelter will match a cat's personality with your household; you can help rescue a cat in need of a home.

•  Ice Skating

Where/When: Fairfax Ice Arena, 3779 Pickett Road, Public Skating: 12 Noon-3:45 p.m./8:30-10:30 p.m., Saturdays
Why Go: It's winter, why not embrace it? Strap on some skates and glide across the ice! (They also offer lessons year-round.)
