Making House Storybooks: Activity for Kids
- Where: Alexandria Black History Museum, Alexandria
- When: Saturday, March 10 from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
- Why Go: Local artist and writer Sushmita will demonstrate how to make these unique “house storybooks”. For children ages 6-12.
- Price: $15 per family – Registration required.
- Where: Fort Ward Museum and Historic Site, Alexandria
- When: Saturday, March 10 at 1 p.m.
- Why Go: Learn how to utilize available records and resources to trace your Civil War ancestors with the help of specialists from the National Archives.

Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet

A Well-Stocked Cellar: Dinner and Wine Tasting at Mount Vernon
- Where: Mount Vernon Inn Restaurant, Mount Vernon
- When: Friday, March 9 at 6:30 p.m.
- Why Go: The evening includes a reception with Mount Vernon staff members, a private tour of the mansion and its wine cellar, and a four-course dinner paired with wines similar to the ones George Washington would have kept in his cellar.
