'Cupcaked' to Open in Clifton in August

Construction through July and then... Cupcakes and wine!

Ready for your daily cupcake? After months of work, "Cupcaked" will be ready next month to open its doors at 12644 Chapel Road in Clifton.

"My contractors think that everything will be completely done by mid-July," said shop owner Kristina Baranowksi to Patch. "I'm thinking that realistically I'll open in the first weekend in August."

Baranowski, 24, recently held a cupcake tasting at the Paradise Springs Winery in Clifton. Afterward, she struck a deal to serve Paradise Springs wine at the cupcake shop.

"I had 300 cupcakes and was supposed to be there from noon to 6:00 p.m., and I was sold out by 2 p.m.," she said.

You can still get those delicious "Cupcaked" cakes through their website (they deliver) and Facebook

"I'm so busy. I'm consistently filling orders every day for birthday parties, baby showers, bridal showers," said Baranowski. "When the shop opens I'm hoping to be making 2,000 cupcakes for that day, which would be really awesome."

Baranowski, a graduate of Robinson Secondary School, moved to Clifton with her parents and two brothers in 1999. She studied economics at New York University.
