'Cupcaked' Opening This Month in Clifton
Are you ready for some cupcakes? Shop opens Aug. 24 or 31.
The tables and chairs are set, and all that's holding up the opening of "Cupcaked" in Clifton is a few approvals from Fairfax County.
"I'm so excited!" said bakery owner Kristina Baranowski. "Everyone in Clifton has been so wonderful - ordering from me without being open. Thanks to everyone."
The store will open on Aug. 24 or 31. In the meantime, Baranowski has been baking new concoctions.
"You know how Clifton Rd. is at 7:00 in the morning with traffic? Well, in the morning we're going to be serving fresh coffee and homemade brioche sticky buns and brown sugar rolls," said Baranowski.
Incidentally, Baranowski recently entered "Cupcaked" into a contest that features the winner in a 30-second Super Bowl ad.
"I'm trying to put myself out there and doing things I normally wouldn't do," said Baranowski. "People need to vote, but if I got it - do you know how amazing it would be to bring the NFL to Clifton? I would die."
