"If you're looking for something different than a hotel ballroom come here… My goal is to bring in business here in the form of events, weddings, corporate events, picnics, birthday parties and employee appreciation parties."

Spalding, who has managed more than 250 events since starting her business in 1997, prefers to have events planned months in advance, but has been known to put last-minute events put together.

"I can put something together in a week, given that there is space available," she said. "I actually like pressure. I wouldn't be in this business if I didn't."
