Photo: Making an Italian Sub at Clifton's General Store (aka The Main Street Pub)

Business is good — they would just like to see more businesses join them in Clifton.

Everything you could ever want in a convenience store is conveniently located in the Clifton General Store (which also includes The Main Street Pub and A Flower Blooms flower shop).

And business is booming, according to manager Sean McNamara.

"Last year was our biggest year since opening in 2008," said McNamara. "We have consistently seen 20 percent growth every year, but last year it was 30 percent."

McNamara hopes to see more businesses along Clifton's Main Street. "There's a half-hour wait on Friday and Saturday night, generally, and more businesses would mean that we'd all feed off each other. It would be awesome."

Patch is interviewing McNamara this week to talk more about the business. In the meantime, we took this photo of cooks Noah Hughes and Jared Vann, who made an Italian Sub (ham, Genoa salami, pepperoni, onions, lettuce, tomato and provolone cheese on an eight-inch sub roll).

The Main Street Pub is open daily from 8:00 a.m. till 10:00 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday 8:00 a.m. - midnight Thursday through Saturday.
