The cafe on the second level of Target at Springfield Mall will soon be one of many remodels at what will be Springfield Town Center.
A representative at the store on Sunday said the cafe will be a Starbucks. Remodeling on the store's cafe will begin this week. Business hours for the store will remain the same. Currently, the nearest Starbucks is located directly across the street from the Target on Frontier Drive.
The remodeling of the cafe is a minor project considering the massive construction taking place around Target — one of the three anchor stores that are still open at the mall. Springfield Mall is currently going through a major facelift to become Springfield Town Center by next year.
