Clifton Lions Club Donates Proceeds from Car Show

The Clifton group met Thursday evening

The Clifton Lions Club donated proceeds from their at their monthly meeting on Thursday evening at the .

About $5,000 from the car show was donated to Life with Cancer, a non-for-profit organization that supports those dealing with cancer and their families.

“I just want to thank you all very much for your support,” said Joanne Royaltey, the director of giving for the Fairfax group.

A portion of the car show proceeds will also be donated to the Nova Therapeutic Riding Program, a Clifton-based organization which offers riding lessons to persons with disabilities and special needs. 

The Lions Club also discussed several upcoming events, including volunteering for Western Fairfax Christian Ministries for collecting for their food pantry.

The Club will also be selling 265 Christmas trees beginning on Nov. 26 in the parking lot at the University Mall. All trees, including fraser furs, will be $65.
