Fairfax County is urgently looking for drivers for its Meals on Wheels program.
Volunteers for the program are needed to deliver meals to older adults and people with disabilities between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., Monday through Friday, according to the office's website. Volunteers can make deliveries on a subsitute, weekly or monthly basis. Coworkers or a group can also share the delivery times if that is convenient.
Meals are prepared in local hospitals, schools, senior centers, and several ethnic food restaurants. The program offers Korean, Vietnamese and Middle Eastern meals for some residents.
