BRAC / FAIRFAX COUNTY PARKWAY EXTENSION PROJECT

Daytime work - Closures occur between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. unless otherwise noted.

• Fairfax County Pkwy. (Route 7100) north and south from Barta Rd. to Franconia Springfield Pkwy. (Route 7900) - Single lane closed Monday - Friday for construction in median or shoulder widening.
• Franconia Springfield Pkwy. (Route 7900) east from the Fairfax County Pkwy. (Route 7100) to Accotink Creek bridge - Right lane closed Monday - Friday for the addition of a new exit ramp.
• Hooes Rd. east and west at Barkers Ct. - Flagger operation Monday - Friday for construction entrance work.
• Fairfax County Pkwy. (Route 7100) north from Rolling Rd. to Stream Way - Left lane closed for guard rail installation.

DULLES CORRIDOR METRORAIL PROJECT

Nighttime work - Closures occur between 9:30 p.m. and 5 a.m. unless otherwise noted.

• Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) east to Exit 19B, Dolley Madison Blvd. (Route 123) north - Ramp closed Monday and Tuesday nights for barrier work. Traffic will be directed to take 19A, Dolley Madison Blvd. (Route 123) south, make a left on Anderson Rd., left on Old Chain Bridge Rd., left on Great Falls St. and follow signs to Dolley Madison Blvd. (Route 123) north. 
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east and west at Spring Hill Rd. - Left turn lanes closed Tuesday - Friday nights for bridge work. Traffic will be directed to follow posted detour signs.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west at Westwood Center Dr. - Left turn lane closed Sunday - Friday nights for bridge work. Traffic will be directed to follow posted detour signs.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west at Gosnell Rd. - Left turn lane closed Sunday - Friday for crane work. Traffic will be directed to follow posted detour signs.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east at Westpark Dr. - Left turn lane closed Sunday - Friday nights for crane work. Traffic will be directed to follow posted detour signs.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east at Tyco Rd. - Left turn lane closed Sunday - Friday nights for bridge work.
• Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south to I-495 north - Ramp closed Sunday - Friday nights for bridge work. Traffic will be directed to continue south, make a right onto International Dr. north, make a right onto Galleria Dr. east, right onto Tysons Blvd., left onto Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) north and follow signs to I-495 north.
• Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) north at Tysons Blvd. - Left turn lane closed Sunday - Friday nights for bridge work. Traffic will be directed to follow posted detour signs.
• Dolley Madison Blvd. (Route 123) south from Capital One Dr. to I-495 - Right lane of Sunday - Friday nights will close for bridge work.
• Dolley Madison Blvd. (Route 123) south from Great Falls St. to Anderson Rd - Road closed Sunday night for barrier work. Traffic will be directed to make a left on Great Falls St., right on Old Chain Bridge Rd., right on Anderson Rd., left on Dolley Madison Blvd. (Route 213) south.
• Dolley Madison Blvd. (Route 123) north from Anderson Rd. to Great Falls St. - Road closed Monday and Tuesday nights for barrier work. Traffic will be directed to make a right on Anderson Rd., left on Old Chain Bridge Rd., left onto Great Falls St. and follow signs to Dolley Madison Blvd. (Route 123).
• Westwood Center Dr. east at Leesburg Pike (Route 7) - Left turn lane and through lane closed Sunday - Friday nights for bridge work. Traffic will be directed to follow posted detour signs.
• Tyco Rd. west at Leesburg Pike (Route 7) - Left turn lane and through lane closed Sunday - Friday nights for bridge work. Traffic will be directed to follow posted detour signs.
• Spring Hill Rd. north and south at Leesburg Pike (Route 7) - Road closed Sunday - Friday nights for bridge work. Traffic will be directed to follow posted detour signs.
• Westpark Dr. east west at Leesburg Pike (Route 7) - Road closed Sunday - Friday nights for crane work. Traffic will be directed to follow posted detour signs.
• Gosnell Rd. north at Leesburg Pike (Route 7) - Road closed Sunday - Friday nights for crane work. Traffic will be directed to follow posted detour signs.
• Tysons Blvd. east at Galleria Dr. - Right turn lane closed Sunday - Friday nights for bridge work. Traffic will be directed to follow posted detour signs.
• Galleria Dr. east at Tysons Blvd. - Right turn lane closed Tuesday - Friday nights for bridge work. Traffic will be directed to follow posted detour signs.

Police will be on site for motorist safety. All closures are weather permitting.

Weekday work - Closures occur between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. unless otherwise noted.

• Expect daytime delays in the Tysons Corner area along the Dulles Connector Road (Route 267), Leesburg Pike (Route 7) and Dolley Madison Blvd. (Route 123).
  All closures are weather permitting.

I-495 CAPITAL BELTWAY HOT LANES

Nighttime work - Closures occur between 9:30 p.m. and 5 a.m. unless otherwise noted.

• I-495 north or south at Lewinsville Rd. overpass - Three lanes closed Tuesday - Saturday nights for demolition. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight.
• Lewinsville Rd. east or west from Timberly Ln. Scotts Run. Rd. - Road closed Tuesday - Friday nights for sidewalk demolition. Traffic will be directed by flagger.
• Dulles Toll Rd. (Route 267) west at I-495 - Road closed Tuesday and Wednesday nights for bridge overhang removal. Traffic will be directed to take I-495 north to Exit 44, Georgetown Pike (Route 193),  stay to the left, follow signs to I-495 south to Exit 45A, Dulles Toll Rd. (Route 267) west.
• Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) west to I-495 north - Ramp closed Thursday - Saturday nights for bridge demolition. Prior to work zone, traffic will be directed to take Exit 19A, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south and follow signs to I-495 north.
• Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) east to I-495 north - Ramp from Monday - Saturday nights for bridge demolition. Traffic will be directed to take I-495 south to Exit 46B, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) north, stay to the right and follow signs to I-495 north.
• Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) east to I-495 south - Ramp closed Tuesday night for sign installation. Traffic will be directed to continue east to exit 19A, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south and follow signs to I-495 south.
• Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) east at I-495 - Two lanes closed Tuesday night for sign installation. Expect intermittent full road closure of up to 30 minutes after midnight.
• Jones Branch Drive north and south between the McLean Hilton and USA Today - Road closed Thursday and Friday nights for traffic shift. Traffic will be directed to follow posted detour signs on Westbranch road.
• I-495 north to Exit 47A, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west - Ramp closed Monday and Tuesday for paving cores. Traffic will be directed to take Exit 47B, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east, stay to the left, make a U-turn at George Marshall Dr. onto Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east to I-495 north - Ramp closed Monday and Tuesday nights for pavement cores. Traffic will be directed to continue east, make a U-turn at George Marshall Dr. onto Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west and follow signs to I-495 north.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east to I-495 south - Ramp closed Wednesday and Thursday nights for ramp shift. Traffic will be directed to continue east, follow signs to I-495 north, stay to the right entering onto Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west, stay to the right and follow signs to I-495 south.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west at I-495 - Right lane closed Wednesday and Thursday nights for ramp shift.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east and west at Lisle Ave. - Multiple lanes closed Thursday night for sign installation. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight.
• I-495 north and south from Exit 49, I-66 to Lee Hwy. (Route 29) overpass - Three lanes closed Sunday - Saturday nights for overhang and bridge work. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight.
• I-495 south to Exit 49, I-66 west - Ramp closed Sunday - Saturday nights for Traffic shift. Traffic will be directed to continue south to Exit 52B, Little River Tpk. (Route 236) east, stay to the right, follow signs to I-495 north and take Exit 49A, I-66 west.
• I-66 west to I-495 south - Ramp closed Sunday - Saturday nights for overhand and bridge work. Traffic will be directed to continue west to Exit 62, Nutley St. south, stay to the right, follow signs to I-66 east to I-495 south.
• I-66 west at I-495 - Two lanes closed Sunday - Saturday nights for barrier work.
• I-66 east HOV (left exit) OR general purpose (right exits) ramp to I-495 south - Ramp closed Sunday - Saturday nights for bridge construction. Traffic will be directed to use the I-66 east HOV (left exit) or general purpose (right exits) to access I-495.
• I-66 east from Cedar Ln overpass to I-495 - Two lanes closed Sunday - Saturday nights for overhead sign installation. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight.
• Lee Hwy. (Route 29) north or south at I-495 - Road closed Sunday - Saturday nights for paving. Traffic will be directed to use a single lane of either Lee Hwy. (Route 29) north or south.
• I-495 south at Exit 50, Arlington Blvd. (Route 50) - Right lane of collector distributor road will close Thursday night for overhead sign work.
• Arlington Blvd. (Route 50) west to I-495 south - Ramp closed Thursday night for overhead sign work. Traffic will be directed to continue west to Gallows Rd. (Route 650) south and follow signs to I-495 south.
• I-495 north to Gallows Rd. (Route 650) - Two right lanes of ramp closed Thursday nights for overhead sign work. Traffic will be able to make a left or right from top of the ramp onto Gallows Rd. (Route 650).
• Braddock Rd. (Route 620) east and west between Queensbury and Port Royal roads - Single lane closed Wednesday night for overhead sign installation. Expect intermittent full westbound road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight.

Weekday work- Closures occur between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. unless otherwise noted.

• Expect single lane closures on the Inner and Outer Loops of I-495 from Springfield Interchange to beyond the Dulles Toll Rd. (Route 267) within the project area including all connecting arterials.

Ongoing work
