 BRAC / FAIRFAX COUNTY PARKWAY EXTENSION PROJECT

Weekday work - Closures occur between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. unless otherwise noted.

• Fairfax County Parkway (Route 7100) north and south from Barta Rd. to Franconia Springfield Pkwy. (Route 7900)- Single lane closed Monday - Friday for construction in median or shoulder widening.
• Franconia Springfield Pkwy. (Route 7900) east from the Fairfax County Pkwy. (Route 7100) to Accotink Creek bridge - Right lane closed Monday - Friday for the addition of a new exit ramp. 
• Hooes Rd. east and west at Barkers Ct. - Flagger operation Monday - Friday for material delivery.

• I-495 north from the Oak St. overpass to Exit 46, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) - Three right lanes will close Sunday - Friday nights for pier work.
• I-495 south from Lewinsville Rd. overpass to Exit 46, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) - Three right lanes closed Sunday - Friday nights for pier work.
• Dulles International Airport Access Hwy. east at Trap Rd. overpass - Left lane closed Monday - Saturday nights for paving and excavating.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west from Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) to the Dulles Toll Rd. (Route 267) - Multiple lanes closed Sunday - Wednesday nights for utility, bridge and concrete work.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east from the Dulles Toll Rd. to Gosnell Rd. - Multiple lanes closed Tuesday - Wednesday nights for paving testing.
• Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) north and south at Tysons Blvd. - Turn lanes to Tysons Blvd. closed Monday and Wednesday nights for pier work. Traffic will be directed to follow posted detour signs.
• Dolley Madison Blvd. (Route 123) south to Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) east -  Ramp closed Sunday and Monday nights for pier work. Traffic will be directed make a left onto Colshire Dr., a right on Colshire Meadow Dr., right on Old Meadow Dr. and make a right onto Dolley Madison Blvd. (Route 123) south.
• Westpark Dr. east from Jones Branch Dr. to Tysons Blvd. - Three left turn lanes closed Friday and Saturday night for bridge work. Traffic will be directed to follow detour signs.
• Tysons Blvd. east at Galleria Dr. - Two through lanes closed Monday - Wednesday nights for overhead span work. Traffic will be directed to follow detour signs.
• Galleria Dr. east at Tysons Blvd. - Right turn lane closed Monday - Wednesday for bridge work. Traffic will be directed to follow detour signs.

Police will be on site for motorist safety.

• Expect daytime delays in the Tysons Corner area along the Dulles Connector Road (Route 267), Leesburg Pike (Route 7) and Dolley Madison Blvd. (Route 123).

• No left turns from the Route 123 south ramp to Route 7 east. Use International Drive.

Traffic will be directed to continue north to Exit 44, Georgetown Pike (Route 193) west, stay to the left, follow signs to I-495 south, and take Exit 45A, Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) west.
• Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) east to I-495 north - Ramp closed Monday - Friday nights for parapet wall work. Traffic will be directed to take I-495 south to Exit 46A, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) north, stay to the left and follow signs to I-495 north.
• Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) west at I-495 - Road closed Monday - Friday nights for bridge painting. Traffic will be directed to take I-495 north to Exit 44, Georgetown Pike (Route  193) west, stay to the left, follow signs to I-495 south and take Exit 45A, Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) west. 
• Dulles International Airport Access Hwy. at I-495 - Road closed Wednesday - Thursday nights for bridge overhang work. Traffic will be directed to the Dulles Toll Rd. (Route 267) west. Motorists will not be tolled.
• Dulles International Airport Access Hwy. east at I-495 - Road closed Monday and Tuesday nights for bridge overhang work. Traffic will be directed to the Dulles Toll Rd. (Route 267) east. Motorists will not be tolled.
• Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) north and south at I-495 - Single lane closed Sunday -Friday nights night for signal removal. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight.
• Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) north to I-495 south - Ramp closed Tuesday night for overhead sign installation. Traffic will be directed to continue north make a U-turn at Capital One Dr. onto Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south and follow signs to I-495 south.
• Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) north to I-495 north - Ramp closed Sunday night for paving. Traffic will be directed to I-495 south to Exit 47B, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east, stay to the left, and follow signs to I-495 north.
• Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south to I-495 north - Ramp closed Sunday night for paving. Traffic will be directed to take I-495 south to Exit 47B, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east, stay to the right, and follow signs to I-495 north.
• I-495 north to Exit 46A, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south - Ramp closed Sunday night for sign work and steel beam erection. Traffic will be directed to continue north to Exit 44, Georgetown Pike (Route 193) west, stay to the left, follow signs to I-495 south, and take Exit 46A, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south.
• I-495 south at Exit 47, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) - Three left lanes closed Monday - Thursday nights for steel beam erection. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight.
• I-495 south to Exit 47B, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east - Ramp closed Monday - Thursday nights for steel beam erection. Traffic will be directed to take Exit 47A, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west, stay to the left and make a U-turn at International Dr. onto Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east.
• I-495 north to Exit 47A, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west - Ramp closed Monday - Thursday nights for traffic shift. Traffic will be directed to continue north to Exit 46A, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south, stay to the right, follow signs to I-495 south and take Exit 47A, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west to I-495 south - Ramp closed Monday - Thursday nights for steel beam erection. Traffic will be directed to take I-495 north to Exit 46A, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south, stay to the right and follow signs to I-495 south.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west at I-495 - Road closed Monday - Thursday nights for steel beam erection. Traffic will be directed to take I-495 north to Exit 46A, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south, stay to the right, follow signs to I-495 south and take Exit 47A, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east at I-495 - Multiple lanes closed Monday - Thursday nights for steel beam erection.
• I-495 south from Oak St. overpass to Exit 49, I-66 west - Three lanes closed Sunday - Saturday nights for bridge painting and demolition. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight.
• I-495 north to Exit 49B, I-66 east - Ramp closed Sunday - Saturday nights for roadwork. Traffic continuing to I-66 east will be directed to take Exit 49, I-66 west to Exit 62, Nutley St. south, stay to the right and follow signs to I-66 east.
• I-66 west at Barbour Rd. - Single lane closed Wednesday night for overhead sign installation. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight.
• I-66 west to I-495 south - Ramp closed Sunday - Saturday nights for bridge demolition. Traffic will be directed to continue west, take Exit 62, Nutley St. south, stay to the right, follow signs to I-66 east and then signs to I-495 south.
• I-66 east HOV (left exit) OR general purpose (right exits) ramp to I-495 south - Ramp closed Sunday - Saturday nights for bridge construction. Traffic will be directed to use the I-66 east HOV (left exit) to general purpose (right exits) to access I-495.
• I-66 east from Cedar Ln overpass to Gallows Rd. overpass - Two right lanes closed Sunday - Saturday nights for overhead sign installation. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight.
• I-495 north from Lee Hwy. (Route 29) overpass to Idylwood Rd. overpass - Three lanes closed Sunday - Saturday nights for bridge painting. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight.
• Lee Hwy. (Route 29) north or south at I-495 - Road closed Sunday - Saturday nights for paving. Traffic will be directed to use a single lane of either Lee Hwy. (Route 29) north or south.
• I-495 south from Exit 50, Arlington Blvd. (Route 50) to Exit 52, Little River Tpk. (Route 236) - Three right lanes closed Friday and Saturday nights for traffic shift. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight.
• I-495 north at Exit 50, Arlington Blvd. (Route 50) - Three lanes closed Sunday - Friday nights for traffic shift. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight.
• Arlington Blvd. (Route 50) east to I-495 north - Ramp closed Tuesday - Friday nights for traffic shift. Traffic will be directed to take I-495 south to Exit 52B, Little River Tpk. (Route 236) east, stay to the right and follow signs to I-495 north.
• Arlington Blvd. (Route 50) east to I-495 south - Ramp closed Friday and Saturday nights for traffic shift. Prior to the work zone, traffic will be directed to take Gallows Rd. (Route 650) south and follow signs to I-495 south.

• Gallows Rd. (Route 650) south to I-495 south - Ramp closed Friday and Saturday nights for traffic shift. Traffic will be directed to take Arlington Blvd. (Route 50) east to I-495 south.
• I-495 north to Exit 51, Gallows Rd. (Route 650) - Ramp closed Monday - Friday nights for signal work. Traffic will be directed to take Exit 50A, Arlington Blvd. (Route 50) west to Gallows Rd. (Route 650).
• Gallows Rd. (Route 650) north and south at I-495 - Single lane closed Monday - Friday nights for signal work. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 20 minutes after midnight.
• I-495 south from Wakefield Park pedestrian bridge to Heming Ave. underpass - Three right lanes closed Friday and Saturday nights for traffic shift. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight.
• I-495 south to Exit 54B, Braddock Rd. (Route 620) east - Ramp closed Monday - Thursday nights for steel beam erection. Traffic will be directed to take Exit 54A, Braddock Rd. (Route 620) west and make a left at the signal onto Braddock Rd. (Route 620) east.

• Expect single lane closures on the Inner and Outer Loops of I-495 from Springfield Interchange to beyond the Dulles Toll Rd. (Route 267) within the project area.
