BRAC / FAIRFAX COUNTY PARKWAY EXTENSION PROJECT

Daytime work - Closures occur between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. unless otherwise noted.

• Fairfax County Parkway (Route 7100) north and south from Barta Rd. to Franconia Springfield Pkwy. (Route 7900)- Single lane closed Monday - Friday for construction in median or shoulder widening. 
• Franconia Springfield Pkwy. (Route 7900) east from the Fairfax County Pkwy. (Route 7100) to Accotink Creek bridge - Right lane closed Monday - Friday for the addition of a new exit ramp. 
• Hooes Rd. east and west at Barkers Ct. - Flagger operation Monday - Friday for material delivery.

All closures are weather permitting.

DULLES CORRIDOR METRORAIL PROJECT

Nighttime work - Closures occur between 9:30 p.m. and 5 a.m. unless otherwise noted.  

• I-495 north from Exit 47, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) to Exit 46, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) - Three lanes will close Thursday and Friday night for pier work.
• I-495 south from Old Dominion Dr. overpass to Exit 46, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) - Three right lanes closed Sunday - Friday nights for pier work.
• Dulles International Airport Access Hwy. east or west from Wiehle Ave. to Reston Pkwy. - Right lane closed Monday - Friday nights for utility work and paving.
• Dulles International Airport Access Hwy. east or west from Hunter Mill Rd. overpass to Beulah Rd. overpass - Left lane closed Monday - Friday nights for ditch maintenance.
• Dulles International Airport Access Hwy. east from W&OD Trail overpass to Hunter Mill Rd. overpass - Right lane closed Monday - Friday nights for utility work.
• Dulles International Airport Access Hwy. east from Trap Rd. overpass to Leesburg Pike (Route 7) - Right lane closed Monday - Friday nights for paving and excavating.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east from Westpark Dr. to Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) - Two left lanes closed Monday - Saturday nights for concrete work.
• Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) north and south at Tysons Blvd. - Turn lanes to Tysons Blvd. closed Friday and Saturday night for pier work. Traffic will be directed to follow posted detour signs.
• Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south to I-495 south - Ramp closed Sunday - Wednesday nights for pier work. Traffic will be directed to continue south, make a left onto International Dr. south, make a left onto Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east and follow signs to I-495 south.

Police will be on site for motorist safety.

 I-495 CAPITAL BELTWAY HOT LANES

Nighttime work - Closures occur between 9:30 p.m. and 5 a.m. unless otherwise noted. 

• I-495 south to Exit 45B, Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) east - Ramp closed Monday - Thursday nights for bridge overhang work. Traffic will be directed to continue south to Exit 46B, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) north and follow signs to Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) east.
• I-495 north to Exit 45A, Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) west - Ramp closed Sunday - Thursday nights for bridge painting. Traffic will be directed to continue north to Exit 44, Georgetown Pike (Route 193) west, stay to the left, follow signs to I-495 south, and take Exit 45A, Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) west. 
• Dulles International Airport Access Hwy. west at I-495 - Road closed Wednesday and Thursday nights for overhang work. Traffic will be directed to Dulles Toll Rd. (Route 267) west. Motorists will not be tolled.
• Dulles International Airport Access Hwy. east at I-495 - Road closed Monday and Tuesday nights for overhang work. Traffic will be directed to Dulles Toll Rd. (Route 267) east. Motorists will not be tolled.
• Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) west at I-495 - Road closed Sunday - Thursday nights for bridge painting. Traffic will be directed to take I-495 north to Exit 44, Georgetown Pike (Route 193) west, stay to the left, follow signs to I-495 south and take Exit 45A, Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) west. 
• Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) north at I-495 - Single lane closed Monday - Friday nights for parapet demolition. Expect intermittent full road closed of up to 30 minutes after midnight.
• Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) north to I-495 south - Ramp closed Monday - Friday nights for parapet demolition.
• I-495 north to Exit 46B, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) north - Ramp closed Monday and Tuesday nights for paving. Traffic will be directed to take Exit 46A, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south, stay to the left, make a U-turn at International Dr. onto Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) north.
• I-495 north to Exit 46A, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south - Ramp closed Sunday and Saturday nights for paving. Traffic will be directed to continue north to Exit 44, Georgetown Pike (Route 193) west, stay to the left, follow signs to I-495 south, and take Exit 46A, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south.
• I-495 north from Exit 47, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) to Exit 46, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) - Ramp closed Sunday - Wednesday and Saturday night for paving, sign installation, and traffic shift.
• I-495 north to Exit 47A, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west - Ramp closed Monday, Tuesday and Saturday nights for traffic shift. Traffic will be directed to take Exit 47B, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east, stay to the left, make a U-turn at George Marshall Dr. onto Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west.
• I-495 north to Exit 47B, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east - Ramp closed Wednesday night for steel beam erection. Traffic will be directed to take Exit 47A, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west, stay to the left, make a U-turn at International Dr. onto Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west to I-495 north - Ramp closed Monday, Tuesday and Saturday nights for paving. Traffic will be directed to take I-495 north to Exit 46A, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south, make a left onto International Dr. south and follow signs to Leesburg Pike (Route 7).
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west to I-495 south - Ramp closed Wednesday and Thursday nights for steel beam erection. Traffic will be directed to take I-495 north to Exit 46A, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south, stay to the right and follow signs to I-495 south.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west at I-495 - Road closed Wednesday and Thursday nights for steel beam erection. Traffic will be directed to take I-495 north to Exit 46A, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south, stay to the left, make a left onto International Dr. south and follow signs to Leesburg Pike (Route 7).
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east at I-495 - Left lane closed Monday night for steel beam erection.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east to I-495 north - Ramp closed Monday and Tuesday nights for paving. Traffic will be directed to continue east, make a U-turn at George Marshall Dr. onto Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west, make a right onto International Dr. north, right onto Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) north and follow signs to I-495 north.
• I-495 south from Oak St. overpass to Exit 49, I-66 west - Three lanes closed Sunday - Saturday night for bridge painting and demolition. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight.
• I-495 north to Exit 49 A and B, I-66 west and east - Ramps closed Sunday - Saturday nights for roadwork. All traffic will be directed to continue north to Exit 47A, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west, stay to the right, follow signs to I-495 south and take Exit 49, I-66 west. Traffic continuing to I-66 east will be directed to continue west onto I-66 to Exit 62, Nutley St. south, stay to the right and follow signs to I-66 east.
• I-66 west to I-495 south - Ramp closed Sunday - Saturday nights for bridge demolition. Traffic will be directed to continue west, take Exit 62, Nutley St. south, stay to the right, follow signs to I-66 east and then signs to I-495 south.
• I-66 east at I-495 - Two lanes closed Sunday - Saturday nights for bridge demolition. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight.
• I-66 east HOV to I-495 - Ramps closed Sunday - Saturday night for bridge demolition. Traffic will be directed to use the I-66 east general purpose (right exits) to access I-495.
• I-66 east from Cedar Ln. overpass to Gallows Rd. overpass - Two right lanes closed Sunday - Saturday night for overhead sign installation.
• Lee Hwy. (Route 29) north or south at I-495 - Road closed Sunday - Saturday nights for paving. Traffic will be directed to use a single lane of either Lee Hwy. (Route 29) north or south.
• I-495 north from Lee Hwy. (Route 29) overpass to Idylwood Rd. overpass  - Three lanes closed Sunday - Saturday night for bridge painting. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight.
• I-495 north or south at Exit 50, Arlington Blvd. (Route 50) - Road closed Friday and Saturday nights for bridge joint work. Traffic will be directed to use the collector distributor road.
• I-495 north at Exit 50, Arlington Blvd. (Route 50) - Three lanes closed Tuesday - Friday nights for traffic shift. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight.
• Arlington Blvd. (Route 50) west at I-495 - Two right lanes closed Sunday - Friday for utility work. 
• Arlington Blvd. (Route 50) west to I-495 south - Ramp closed Sunday - Friday nights for bridge work. Traffic will be directed to continue west to Gallows Rd. (Route 650) south and follow signs to I-495 south.
• Arlington Blvd. (Route 50) east to I-495 north - Ramp closed Tuesday - Friday nights for signal work. Traffic will be directed to take I-495 south to Exit 52B, Little River Tpk. (Route 236) east, stay to the right and follow signs to I-495 north.
• Gallows Rd. (Route 650) north and south at I-495 - Right lane closed Sunday - Friday nights for sign installation. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 20 minutes after midnight.
• Gallows Rd. (Route 650) north and south to I-495 north - Ramp closed Sunday - Friday night for sign installation. Traffic will be directed to take Arlington Blvd. (Route 50) east and follow signs to I-495 north.
• I-495 north and south at Exit 52, Little River Tpk. (Route 236) - Three left lanes closed Monday - Saturday night for traffic shift.
• I-495 south to Exit 54A, Braddock Rd. (Route 620) west - Ramp closed Sunday - Friday nights for signal work. Traffic will be directed to take Exit 54B, Braddock Rd. (Route 620) east, stay to the

right, follow signs to I-495 north and stay to the right entering back onto Braddock Rd. (Route 620) west.

• Braddock Rd. (Route 620) east and west at Port Royal Rd. - Two lanes closed Sunday - Friday nights for signal work. Expected intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight.
• I-495 north/west (Inner Loop) at I-395 - Road closed Sunday - Saturday nights for bridge work. Traffic will be directed to take Exit 170, I-395 north to Exit 2, Edsall Rd. west, stay to the right, follow signs to I-395 south and then signs to I-495 Inner Loop.

• I-495 north/west (Inner Loop) to Exit 169 B/A, Franconia/Springfield (Route 644) - Ramp closed Sunday - Saturday nights for bridge work. DETOUR
• I-495 Inner Loop to I-395 north - Ramp closed Sunday - Saturday nights for bridge work. Traffic will be directed to continue on the Inner Loop to Exit 54A, Braddock Rd. (Route 620) west, stay to the left, follow signs to I-495 south (Outer Loop) and then signs to I-395 north.
• I-495 Outer Loop to I-395 north - Ramp closed Sunday - Saturday nights for bridge work. Traffic will be directed to take I-95 south to Exit 166B, Fairfax County Pkwy. (Route 7100) south, stay to the right, follow signs to I-95 north and then signs to I-395.
• I-395 south to Exit 1B, Franconia/Springfield (Route 644) - Ramp closed Sunday - Saturday nights for equipment installation. Traffic will be directed to Exit 1D, I-495 north to Tysons Corner, take Exit 54A, Braddock Rd. (Route 620) west, stay to the left, make a left at the signal onto I-495 south (Outer Loop) and follow signs to Franconia/Springfield (Route 644).

• Expect single lane closures on the Inner and Outer loops of I-495 from Springfield Interchange to beyond the Dulles Toll Rd. (Route 267) within the project area including all connecting arterials.
