Fairfax County Under Thunderstorm Watch Sunday
The watch went into effect Sunday afternoon
Thunderstorms and hail moving over the area prompted the National Weather Service to issue a severe weather warning for Fairfax County.
A thunderstorm warning and flash flood watch was in effect for the county as of 2 p.m. on Sunday. The weather service said the watch will last until 9 p.m.
