The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch beginning Friday morning and lasting through the afternoon for the Fairfax County area.
Showers and thunderstorms are in the forecast for Friday, with temperatures being at about 75 degrees.
The Washington Post reported earlier this week that the region saw just four sunny days all September.Β
