Fairfax Weather: Area Under Thunderstorm Watch

Expect a dark and stormy commute and evening as all of Fairfax County is under a severe thunderstorm watch until 9 p.m. Wednesday.

The National Weather Service issued the advisory this afternoon. With the showers also comes a possibility of hail and strong winds, the service advises.

On Thursday and Friday, also expect to see scattered showers throughout the day. By the time Saturday rolls in, however, the clouds should part and temperatures are forecasted to be in the high 70s.
