Five Ways to Connect with Patch

Post events, announcements and get our email newsletter.

Patch is so much more than a local news website. Our mission is to make life ridiculously easy for you and your neighbors. That’s why we offer great daily news coverage, an events calendar, a business directory, and an announcements section for readers to share their news and press releases.

Here are five different ways for you to stay connected to your community by using Patch:

  1. Did you know Patch has a daily newsletter? Sign up by visiting Fairfax Station Patch and clicking on “Patch Newsletter” in the upper right hand corner of the homepage.
  2. Get exclusive content and breaking news updates via Facebook and Twitter. Find us on Facebook or on Twitter @FairfaxStnPatch
  3. Post an event to our calendar. It’s a really simple way to get the word out about your upcoming event. Did we mention it’s free? Visit our Events page and click on “” Learn more by watching
  4. Business owners: Did you know you can claim your business directory listing on Patch? Click on Places and then click on the “Claim Your Listing” button on the right side of the page. When you claim your listing, you can upload pictures and interact with customers via Patch. Stake out your Patch today!
  5. Did your child achieve Eagle Scout ranking? Recently engaged? Does your organization need volunteers or donations? Post an announcement on Patch and tell the community. Click on the Announcements section under the News tab and click on “Post An Announcement.” Watch this video tutorial to learn more about or press release.

We hope you take advantage of these easy ways to connect with your community. If you have any questions, please email Editor Rachel Hatzipanagos at rachelh@patch.com
