4. Children’s Concert

- Where/When: Lake Braddock Secondary School, 9200 Burke Lake Road/Saturday, May 14 from 1-2:30 p.m.
- Why Go: Children and adults of all ages will enjoy listening to the Lake Braddock Choral Music Department sing iconic Disney songs while dressed as Disney characters. This concert will benefit ECHO, a nonprofit organization in Springfield that provides emergency assistance to those in need.

5. Franconia in the Civil War
- Where/When: Robert E. Lee Recreation Center, 6601 Telegraph Road, Franconia/Saturday, May 14 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday, May 15 from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
- Why Go: Saturday's program includes a rundown on various Union forts, reenactments, free sample of Brunswick stew and corn bread (which was a common period dish) and civil war period music. Sunday's program will focus on Black History during the war with a recitation the Emancipation Proclamation and a performance by the Carter Gospel Singers.
