Peterson's Ice Cream Depot in Clifton, 7150 Main St., is an important part of the summer season. The ice cream parlor caters to just about everyone, and the menu includes more than a dozen soft serve ice cream flavors and 36 different milk shakes and malts, including a creme de menthe shake and an English toffee shake.
Peterson's also has food. "My favorite is the 'Hot Schott's Chicken Sandwich'," said manager Jackie Schottler, for whom the sandwich is named. "Most people will spend between $4-$6 for a nice sized ice cream, and you get full off of it."
Peterson's is open daily during the summer from noon-10 p.m.
