BRAC / FAIRFAX COUNTY PARKWAY EXTENSION PROJECT

Daytime work - Closures occur Monday - Thursday between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday from 9:30 to noon unless otherwise noted.

• Franconia Springfield Pkwy. (Route 289) east ramp to Barkers Ct. - Alternating single lane closures Monday - Friday for shoulder work.
• Fairfax County Pkwy. extension (Route 286) north from Relocated Hoose Rd. overpass to Franconia-Springfield Pkwy (Route 289) underpass - Left lane closed Monday - Friday for median work.
• Rolling Rd./Fairfax County Pkwy. extension (Route 286) south from Hunter Village Dr. to Franconia-Springfield Pkwy (Route 289) underpass - Most left, left turn lane closed Monday - Friday for paving and median work.
• Barta Rd. ramp to Fairfax County Pkwy. extension (Route 286) south - Single lane closed Monday - Friday for shoulder work.

DULLES CORRIDOR METRORAIL PROJECT

Nighttime work - Closures Sunday - Thursday nights occur between 9:30 p.m. and 5 a.m. unless otherwise noted. Friday and Saturday night closures will occur 9:30 p.m. to 9 a.m.  

• Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) east from I-495 to Exit 19, Dolley Madison Blvd. (Route 123) - Road closed Sunday night for sound wall installation. Traffic will be directed to I-495 south and follow signs to Exit 46 A or B, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south or north.
• Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) east from Idylwood Rd. overpass to I-66 - Single lane closed Thursday night for roadway shift and barrier movement.
• Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) east to Exit 19B, Dolley Madison Blvd. (Route 123) north - Ramp closed Wednesday night for barrier work. Traffic will be directed to take Exit 19A, Dolley Madison Blvd. (Route 123) south, make a left onto Anderson Rd. left onto Old Chain Bridge Rd., left onto Great Falls St. and follow signs to Dolley Madison Blvd. (Route 123).
• Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) west from Idylwood Rd. overpass to Pimmit Run. - Left lane closed Monday - Friday nights for shoulder construction.
• Dulles International Airport Access Hwy. east at I-495 - Road closed Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights for punch list work. Traffic will be directed to use the Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) east.
• Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south at Tysons Blvd. – Multiple lanes closed Monday - Friday nights for water main installation.
• Dolley Madison Blvd. (Route 123) south at Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) - Road closed Thursday and Friday nights for acoustic panel installation. Traffic will be directed to make a left onto Great Falls St., right onto Old Chain Bridge Rd., right onto Anderson Rd. and follow signs to Dolley Madison Blvd. (Route 123).
• Dolley Madison Blvd. (Route 123) north at Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) - Road closed Monday - Saturday nights for acoustic panel installation. Traffic will be directed to make a right onto Anderson Rd. left onto Old Chain Bridge., left onto Great Falls St. and follow signs to Dolley Madison Blvd. (Route123)
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west at Spring Hill Rd. - Left turn lane closed Sunday - Tuesday nights for punch list work. Traffic will be directed to continue west, make a U-turn at Tyco Rd. onto Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east and follow signs to Gosnell Rd.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west from Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) to Westpark Dr. - Left lane and left turn lane closed Monday - Friday night for storm drain installation. Traffic will be directed to continue west, make a U-turn at Spring Hill Rd. and make a right into Gosnell Rd.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west from Chain Bridge Rd. to Frontage Rd. - Two lanes closed Monday - Friday nights for punch list work.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east at Spring Hill Rd. - Two left turn lanes closed Sunday - Tuesday night for punch list work and concrete pour. Traffic will be directed to continue east, make a U-turn at Westpark Dr. onto Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west and follow signs to Spring Hill Rd.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east from Gosnell Rd. to Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) - Left lane closed Monday - Saturday nights for equipment delivery.
• Spring Hill Rd. south at Leesburg Pike (Route 7) - Left turn lane and through lanes closed Sunday - Tuesday night for punch list work and concrete pour. Traffic will be directed to make a right ontoLeesburg Pike (Route 7) east, make a U-turn at Westpark Dr. onto Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west and follow signs to Spring Hill Rd.
• Spring Hill Rd. north at Leesburg Pike (Route 7) - Left turn lane and through lanes closed Sunday - Tuesday nights for punch list work and concrete pour. Traffic will be directed to make a right onto Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west, make a U-turn at Tyco Rd. onto Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east and follow signs to Spring Hill Rd.

Police will be on site for motorist safety.
All closures are weather permitting.

Weekday work

• Expect single lane closures between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday - Friday and from 9:30 to noon on Fridays in the Tysons Corner area along the Dulles Connector Road (Route 267), Leesburg Pike (Route 7) and Dolley Madison Blvd. (Route 123).

495 EXPRESS LANES PROJECT

Nighttime work - Closures Sunday - Thursday nights occur between 9:30 p.m. and 5 a.m. unless otherwise noted. Friday and Saturday night closures will occur 9:30 p.m. to 9 a.m.

• I-495 north after Old Dominion Dr. overpass - Two right lanes closed Friday and Saturday nights from 10 p.m. to 10 a.m. for joint repair.
• I-495 south from Exit 44, Georgetown Pike (Route 193) to Oak St. overpass - Three lanes closed Sunday - Saturday nights for overhead sign and paving work. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight.
• Lewinsville Rd. east or west at I-495 - Road closed Sunday - Saturday nights for striping. Two-way traffic will be directed by flagger.
• Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) east to I-495 north and south - Ramps closed Sunday - Saturday nights for painting and punch list work.  Traffic will be directed to continue east to Exit 19A, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south and follow signs to I-495 north or south.
• Dulles Toll Rd.(Route 267) east from Spring Hill Rd. to main Toll Plaza - Four right lanes closed Wednesday night for sign work. There will be two left lanes open to traffic.
• I-495 south to Exit 45A, Dulles Toll Rd. (Route 267) west- Ramp closed Monday - Friday nights for paving. Traffic will be directed to continue south to Exit 46B, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) north and follow signs to Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) west.
• I-495 south to Exit 46 A and B, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south and north - Ramps closed Sunday- Saturday nights for paving. Traffic will be directed to continue south to Exit 47 B, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west, make a right onto International Dr. north and follow signs to Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123).
• I-495 north to Exit 46B, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) north - Ramps closed Sunday - Thursday nights for paving. Traffic will be directed to continue north to Exit 44, Georgetown Pike (Route 193) west, stay to the left follow signs to I-495 south and take Exit 46B, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) north.
• Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) north to I-495 south - Ramp closed Sunday - Saturday nights for paving. Prior to work zone, traffic will be directed to make a right onto International Dr. south, make a left onto Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east, and follow signs to I-495 south.
• Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south to I-495 south - Ramps closed Sunday - Saturday nights for paving. Traffic will be directed to continue south, make a left onto International Dr. south, left onto Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east and follow signs to I-495 south.
• Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) north and south at I-495 - Two lanes closed Sunday - Saturday nights for lighting and punch list work.
• I-495 south to Exit 47 A and B, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west and east - Ramps closed Sunday - Saturday nights for paving. Traffic will be directed to continue north to Exit 46A, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south, stay to the right, follow signs to I-495 south and take Exit 47A or B, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west or east.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west and east to I-495 north - Ramp closed Sunday - Saturday nights for paving. Traffic will be directed to take International Dr. north, make a right onto Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) north and follow signs to I-495 north.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west and east to I-495 south - Ramps closed Sunday - Saturday nights for sign work and paving. Traffic will be directed to make a right onto International Dr. north, make a right onto Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) north and follow signs to I-495 south.
• Jones Branch Dr. north and south from Westpark Dr. to Westbranch Dr. - Road closed Sunday - Saturday nights for sign work. Traffic will be directed to follow posted detour signs.
• I-495 south from Oak St. overpass to Lee Hwy. (Route 29) overpass - Three lanes closed Sunday - Saturday nights for paving and utility work. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight.
• I-495 north from Oak St. overpass to Gorge Washington Pkwy. - Three lanes closed Sunday - Saturday nights for paving and utility work. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight.
• I-495 south to Exit 49, I-66 west - Ramp closed Sunday - Saturday nights for sound wall construction. Traffic will be directed to continue south to Exit 52B, Little River Tpk. (Route 236) east, stay to the right, follow signs to I-495 north and take Exit 49, I-66 west. 
• I-66 west to I-495 south - Ramp closed Sunday - Saturday nights for overhead sign installation and road work. Traffic will be directed to continue west to Exit 62, Nutley St. south, stay to the right, follow signs to I-66 east to I-495 south.
• I-66 west from I-495 to Gallows Rd. overpass - Two lanes closed Sunday - Saturday nights for bridge demolition. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes.
• I-66 east general purpose (right exit) or HOV (left exit) to I-495 north - Ramp closed Sunday - Thursday nights for bridge demolition and sign work. Traffic will be directed to use the I-66 east HOV ramp (left exit) or general purpose ramp (right exit) to access I-495 north. 
• I-66 east HOV (left exit) to I-495 north - Ramp closed 9:30 a.m. Friday, August 17, until 5 a.m. Monday, August 20, for paving. Traffic will be directed to use the I-66 east general purpose ramp (right exit) to I-495 north.
• I-66 east from Exit 62, Nutley St. to Gallows Rd. overpass - Three lanes closed Sunday - Saturday nights for sign work.
• I-66 east general purpose ramp to I-495 south - Single lane closed Monday - Friday nights for paving.
• I-495 south from Lee Hwy. (Route 29) overpass to Heming Ave. underpass - Three lanes closed Sunday - Saturday nights for paving, painting and delineator installation. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight.
• I-495 north from Exit 50, Arlington Blvd. (Route 50) to Oak St. overpass - Three lanes closed Sunday - Saturday nights for painting, paving and utility work. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight.
• I-495 south to Exit 50B, Arlington Blvd. (Route 50) east - Ramp closed Sunday - Saturday for paving. Traffic will be directed to continue south to Exit 51, Gallows Rd. (Route 650) north and follow signs to Arlington Bld. (Route 50) east.
• I-495 north to Exit 50A and B, Arlington Blvd. (Route 50) west and east - Ramps closed Sunday - Saturday for paving. Prior to work zone, traffic will be directed to take Exit 51, Gallows Rd. (Route 650) north and follow signs to Arlington Bld. (Route 50) west and east.
• Arlington Blvd. (Route 50) west and Fairview Park Dr. to I-495 north - Ramps closed Sunday - Saturday nights for paving. Traffic will be directed to continue west to Gallows Rd. (Route 650) south and follow signs to I-495 north.
• Arlington Blvd. (Route 50) west to I-495 south - Ramp closed Sunday - Saturday nights for paving. Prior to the work zone, traffic will be directed to take Gallows Rd. (Route 650) south and follow signs to I-495 south.
• Arlington Blvd. (Route 50) east to I-495 north - Ramp closed Sunday - Saturday nights for paving. Prior to the work zone, traffic will be directed to take Gallows Rd. (Route 650) south and follow signs to I-495 north.
• I-495 south to Exit 52B, Little River Tpk. (Route 236) east - Ramp closed Sunday - Saturday nights for painting. Traffic will be directed to continue south to Exit 54B, Braddock Rd. (Route 620) east, stay to the right, follow signs to I-495 north and take Exit 52B, Little River Tpk. (Route 236) east.
• I-495 north to Exit 52A, Little River Tpk. (Route 236) west - Ramp closed Monday - Saturday nights for painting. Traffic will be directed to continue north to Exit 51, Gallows Rd. (Route 650) north, stay to the right, follow signs to I-495 south and take Exit 52A, Little River Tpk. (Route 236) west.
• Little River Tpk. (Route 236) east to I-495 north - Ramp closed Sunday - Saturday nights for bridge painting. Traffic will be directed to take I-495 south to Exit 54B, Braddock Rd. (Route 620) east, stay to the right and follow sign to I-495 north.
• Little River Tpk. (Route 236) west to I-495 south - Ramp closed Sunday - Saturday nights for bridge painting. Traffic will be directed to take I-495 north to Exit 51, Gallows Rd. (Route 650) north, stay to the right and follow signs to I-495 south.
• Braddock Rd. (Route 620) east and west from Port Royal Rd. to Ravensworth Ave. - Three lanes closed Sunday - Saturday nights for painting.
• I-495 north from Heming Ave. underpass to Lee Hwy. (Route 29) overpass - Three lanes closed Sunday - Saturday nights for paving, painting and delineator installation. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight.
• I-495 north/west (Inner Loop) from Exit 174, Van Dorn St. to I-95 split - Three lanes closed Sunday - Friday for sign inspection.

Weekday work

• I-495 south to Exit 49, I-66 west - Partial ramp closed Monday - Thursday from 5:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Friday 5:30 a.m. to noon for sound wall work.
• Expect single lane closures between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday - Friday and from 9:30 to noon on Fridays on the Inner and Outer Loops of I-495 from Springfield Interchange to beyond the Dulles Toll Rd. (Route 267) within the project area including all connecting arterials.

Ongoing work

• Seminary Rd. (Route 420) east from Mark Center Ave. to I-395 - Two lanes closed with intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight Friday and Saturday nights for overhead sign work.
