BRAC / FAIRFAX COUNTY PARKWAY EXTENSION PROJECT

Nighttime work - Closures occur between 9:30 p.m. and 5 a.m. unless otherwise noted.

Daytime work - Closures occur Monday - Thursday between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday from 9:30 to noon unless otherwise noted.

• Fairfax County Pkwy. (Route 286) north and south from Pohick Rd. overpass to Rolling Rd. - Single lane closed Monday - Friday for paving, signage and electrical work.
• Franconia Springfield Pkwy. (Route 289) east from Rolling Rd. to Accotink Creek bridge - Single lane closed Monday - Friday for signal, electrical and paving work.
• Franconia Springfield Pkwy. (Route 289) east ramp to Barkers Ct. - Alternating single lane closures Monday - Friday for shoulder work.
• Fairfax County Pkwy. extension (Route 286) north to Franconia-Springfield Pkwy (Route 289) - Single lane of ramp closed Monday - Friday for shoulder work.
• Fairfax County Pkwy. extension (Route 286) north and south from Barta Rd. to new Rolling Rd. overpass - Single lane closed Monday - Friday for paving and median work.
• Relocated Rolling Rd. north and south from Richfield Rd. to Barkers Ct. - Single lane closures Monday - Friday for shoulder construction. Two-way traffic will be directed by a flagger.
• Barta Rd. ramp to Fairfax County Pkwy. extension (Route 286) south - Single lane closed Monday - Friday for shoulder work.

DULLES CORRIDOR METRORAIL PROJECT

Nighttime work - Closures Sunday - Thursday nights occur between 9:30 p.m. and 5 a.m. unless otherwise noted. Friday and Saturday night closures will occur 9:30 p.m. to 9 a.m.  

• Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) west at Pimmit Run overpass - Left lane closed Monday - Thursday nights for utility work.
• Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) east from Magarity Rd. overpass to Pimmit Rd. - Two left lanes closed Friday and Saturday nights for bridge work.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west from Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) to Frontage Rd. - Two left lanes closed Monday and Tuesday for station work.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west from Spring Hill Rd. to Westwood Center Dr. - Left lane closed Monday - Saturday nights for station work.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east from Westwood Center Dr. to Spring Hill Rd. - Left lane and two left turn lanes closed Monday - Saturday nights for station work.Traffic will be directed to continue east make a U-turn at Westpark Dr. onto Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west and make a right onto Spring Hill Rd.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east from Gosnell Rd. to Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) - Left lane closed Monday - Friday nights for equipment delivery.
• Dolley Madison Blvd. (Route 123) north at Capital One Dr. - Left turn lane closed Monday - Saturday nights for utility work. Traffic will be directed to continue north, make a left onto Scotts Crossing Rd. and follow signs to Capital One.
• Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) north at Tysons Blvd. - Left turn lane and multiple lanes closed Monday - Saturday nights for station work. Prior to work zone, traffic will be directed to make a left onto International Dr., right onto Galleria Dr. and follow signs to Tysons Blvd.
• Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south from I-495 to Tysons Blvd. – Multiple lanes closed Friday and Saturday nights for station work. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 15 minutes after midnight.
• Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south at Tysons Blvd. - Two right turn lanes closed Monday - Saturday nights for station work. Traffic will be directed to continue south, make a right onto International Dr. right on Galleria Dr. and left on Tysons Blvd.
• Galleria Dr. east at Tysons Blvd. - Right turn lane closed Thursday - Saturday nights for station work. Traffic will be directed to continue east, make a right onto Tysons Blvd., left onto International Dr. and follow signs to Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123).
• Galleria Dr. west at Tysons Blvd. - Three left turn lanes closed Monday - Saturday nights for station work. Traffic will be directed to make a right onto Tysons Blvd., left onto International Dr., and follow signs to Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123).
• Tysons Blvd. east at Galleria Dr. - Two lanes closed Monday - Saturday nights for station work. Traffic will be directed to make a left onto Galleria Dr., right onto Tysons Blvd., left on International Dr. and follow signs to Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123).
• Old Chain Bridge Rd. east and west from Hill Crest Dr. to Seneca Ave. - Flagger to directed two way traffic, Tuesday - Friday nights for station work.

Police will be on site for motorist safety.
All closures are weather permitting.

Weekday work

• Expect single lane closures between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday - Friday and from 9:30 to noon on Fridays in the Tysons Corner area along the Dulles Connector Road (Route 267), Leesburg Pike (Route 7) and Dolley Madison Blvd. (Route 123).

495 EXPRESS LANES PROJECT

Nighttime work - Closures Sunday - Thursday nights occur between 9:30 p.m. and 5 a.m. unless otherwise noted. Friday and Saturday night closures will occur 9:30 p.m. to 9 a.m.

• I-495 north after Old Dominion Dr. overpass - Two right lanes closed Friday and Saturday nights from 10 p.m. to 10 a.m. for joint repair.
• I-495 south from Exit 44, Georgetown Pike (Route 193) to Oak St. overpass - Three lanes closed Sunday - Saturday nights for overhead sign and paving work. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight.
• Lewinsville Rd. east or west at I-495 - Road closed Sunday - Saturday nights for striping. Two-way traffic will be directed by flagger.
• Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) east to I-495 south - Ramp closed Sunday - Saturday nights for utility and bridge work.  Traffic will be directed to continue east to Exit 19A, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south and follow signs to I-495 north or south.
• I-495 south to Exit 46 A and B, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south and north - Ramps closed Sunday- Saturday nights for paving. Traffic will be directed to continue south to Exit 47 B, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west, make a right onto International Dr. north and follow signs to Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123).
• I-495 north to Exit 46 A and B, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south and north - Ramps closed Sunday - Saturday nights for paving. Traffic will be directed to continue north to Exit 44, Georgetown Pike (Route 193) west, stay to the left follow signs to I-495 south and take Exit 46 A or B, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south or north.
• Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) north to I-495 north and south - Ramps closed Sunday - Saturday nights for paving. Prior to work zone, traffic will be directed to make a right onto International Dr. south, make a left onto Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east, and follow signs to I-495 north or south.
• Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south to I-495 north and south - Ramps closed Sunday - Saturday nights for paving. Traffic will be directed to continue south, make a left onto International Dr. south, left onto Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east and follow signs to I-495 north or south.
• Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) north and south at I-495 - Two lanes closed Sunday - Saturday nights for roadway work.
• I-495 south to Exit 47B, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east - Ramp closed Sunday - Saturday nights for paving. Traffic will be directed to take Exit 47B, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west and make a U-turn at International Dr. onto Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east.
• I-495 north to Exit 47B, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west - Ramp closed Thursday - Saturday nights for barrier movement. Traffic will be directed to take Exit 47A, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east and make a U-turn at George Marshall Dr. onto Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west and east to I-495 north - Ramp closed Sunday - Saturday nights for paving. Traffic will be directed to take International Dr. north, make a right onto Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) north and follow signs to I-495 north.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west and east to I-495 south - Ramps closed Sunday - Saturday nights for sign work and paving. Traffic will be directed to make a right onto International Dr. north, make a right onto Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) north and follow signs to I-495 south.
• Jones Branch Dr. north and south from Westpark Dr. to Westbranch Dr. - Road closed Sunday - Saturday nights for sign work. Traffic will be directed to follow posted detour signs.
• Galleria Dr. north and south at Westpark Dr. - Right or left lane closed Monday - Friday nights for signal work. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight.
• Westpark Dr. overpass at Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) - Road closed Sunday - Saturday nights for sign work. Traffic will be directed to follow posted detour signs.
• I-495 south from Oak St. overpass to Lee Hwy. (Route 29) overpass - Three lanes closed Sunday - Saturday nights for paving and utility work. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight.
• I-495 north from Oak St. overpass to Exit 44, Georgetown Pike (Route 193) - Three lanes closed Sunday - Saturday nights for paving and sign installation. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight.
• I-495 south to Exit 49, I-66 west - Ramp closed Sunday - Saturday nights for sound wall construction. Traffic will be directed to continue south to Exit 52B, Little River Tpk. (Route 236) east, stay to the right, follow signs to I-495 north and take Exit 49, I-66 west.
• I-495 north to Exit 49A, I-66 west - Ramp closed Sunday - Saturday nights for paving. Traffic will be directed to continue north to Exit 47, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west, stay to the right, follow signs to I-495 south and take Exit 49, I-66 west.
• I-495 north to Exit 49B, I-66 east - Ramp closed Sunday - Saturday nights for paving. Traffic will be directed to take Exit 49 A, I-66 west, to Exit 62, Nutley St. south, stay to the right and follow signs to I-66 east. 
• I-66 west to I-495 south - Ramp closed Sunday - Saturday nights for overhead sign installation and road work. Traffic will be directed to continue west to Exit 62, Nutley St. south, stay to the right, follow signs to I-66 east to I-495 south.
• I-66 west from I-495 to Gallows Rd. overpass - Two lanes closed Sunday - Saturday nights for bridge demolition. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes.
• I-66 east general purpose (right exit) or HOV (left exit) to I-495 north - Ramp closed Sunday - Thursday nights for bridge demolition and sign work. Traffic will be directed to use the I-66 east HOV ramp (left exit) or general purpose ramp (right exit) to access I-495 north. 
• I-66 east HOV (left exit) to I-495 north - Ramp closed 9:30 a.m. Friday, August 3, until 5 a.m. Monday, August 6, for paving. Traffic will be directed to use the I-66 east general purpose ramp (right exit) to I-495 north.
• I-66 east from Exit 62, Nutley St. to Gallows Rd. overpass - Three lanes closed Sunday - Saturday nights for sign work.
• Nutley St. north and south to I-66 east - Ramps closed Sunday - Saturday nights for overhead sign installation. Traffic will be directed to take I-66 west to Exit 57A, Lee Jackson Memorial Hwy. (Route 50) east, stay to the right and follow signs to I-66 east.
• I-495 south from Lee Hwy. (Route 29) overpass to Heming Ave. underpass - Three lanes closed Sunday - Saturday nights for paving, painting and delineator installation. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight.
• I-495 north from Exit 50, Arlington Blvd. (Route 50) to Oak St. overpass - Three lanes closed Sunday - Saturday nights for painting, paving and utility work. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight.
• I-495 north to Exit 50B, Arlington Blvd. (Route 50) east - Ramp closed Sunday - Saturday nights for paving. Prior to the work zone, traffic will be directed to take Exit 51, Gallows Rd. (Route 650) north and follow signs to Arlington Blvd. (Route 50).
• I-495 north or south at Exit 50, Arlington Blvd. (Route 50) - Road closed Friday and Saturday nights for joint repair. Traffic will be directed to use the collector distributor road.
• I-495 south to Exit 50B, Arlington Blvd. (Route 50) east - Ramp closed Sunday morning from 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. for bridge inspection.
• Arlington Blvd. (Route 50) west and Fairview Park Dr. to I-495 north - Ramps closed Sunday - Saturday nights for paving. Traffic will be directed to continue west to Gallows Rd. (Route 650) south and follow signs to I-495 north.
• Arlington Blvd. (Route 50) east to I-495 north - Ramp closed Sunday - Saturday nights for paving. Prior to the work zone, traffic will be directed to take Gallows Rd. (Route 650) south and follow signs to I-495 north.
• I-495 south to Exit 52B, Little River Tpk. (Route 236) east - Ramp closed Sunday - Saturday nights for painting. Traffic will be directed to continue south to Exit 54B, Braddock Rd. (Route 620) east, stay to the right, follow signs to I-495 north and take Exit 52B, Little River Tpk. (Route 236) east.
• I-495 north to Exit 52A, Little River Tpk. (Route 236) west - Ramp closed Monday - Saturday nights for painting. Traffic will be directed to continue north to Exit 51, Gallows Rd. (Route 650) north, stay to the right, follow signs to I-495 south and take Exit 52A, Little River Tpk. (Route 236) west.
• Little River Tpk. (Route 236) east to I-495 north - Ramp closed Sunday - Saturday nights for bridge painting. Traffic will be directed to take I-495 south to Exit 54B, Braddock Rd. (Route 620) east, stay to the right and follow sign to I-495 north.
• Little River Tpk. (Route 236) west to I-495 south - Ramp closed Sunday - Saturday nights for bridge painting. Traffic will be directed to take I-495 north to Exit 51, Gallows Rd. (Route 650) north, stay to the right and follow signs to I-495 south.
• Little River Tpk. (Route 236) east and west at I-495 - Left lane closed Sunday - Saturday nights for bridge painting.
• Braddock Rd. (Route 620) east to I-495 north - Ramp closed Sunday - Saturday nights for bridge painting. Traffic will be directed to continue east, make a left onto Backlick Rd. north, left onto Little River Tpk. (Route 236) west and follow signs to I-495 north.
• Braddock Rd. east from Port Royal Rd. to I-495 - Left lane closed Sunday and Monday for sign work. 
• I-495 north from Heming Ave. underpass to Lee Hwy. (Route 29) overpass - Three lanes closed Sunday - Saturday nights for paving, painting and delineator installation. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight.
• I-495 north/west (Inner Loop) from I-95 split to Exit 169 B/A, Franconia-Springfield (Route 644) - Left lane closed Sunday - Saturday nights for paving.
• I-395 north from I-495 to Exit 2, Edsall Rd. - Left lane closed Sunday - Saturday nights for paving.
• I-95/395 reversible HOV lanes from I-495 to Edsall Rd. - Left lane closed Sunday - Saturday nights for paving.

Weekday work

• Expect single lane closures between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday - Friday and from 9:30 to noon on Fridays on the Inner and Outer Loops of I-495 from Springfield Interchange to beyond the Dulles Toll Rd. (Route 267) within the project area including all connecting arterials.

Ongoing work
