Low-Cost Rabies Vaccination Clinic This Sunday

The clinic will be held at the Sully District Government Center.

A low-cost rabies vaccination clinic will be held this weekend in Chantilly.

Dogs, cats and ferrets are eligible for vaccinations. The cost will be $12 per pet.

All pets will receive a 1-year rabies vaccine.

Pets can also obtain a 3-year vaccine, but owner’s must supply the animal's rabies certificate showing the pet's current rabies vaccination and expiration date.

A pet, when bitten by a rabid animal, may develop symptoms within two to 24 weeks, but the usual period is within three to eight weeks, according to Fairfax County officials.

The vaccination clinic is Sunday, Jan. 29 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the at 4900 Stonecroft Boulevard.
