Major Delays on I-66 After Crash

A multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 66 is causing major delays Friday afternoon.

Two vehicles collided at about 11:10 a.m. on the westbound lanes of I-66 near I-495, according to Virginia State Police spokeswoman Corinne Geller. One of the vehicles began leaking fluids, which caused two other vehicles to spin out of control. One vehicle hit a wall.

No serious injuries were reported.

Fairfax County said motorists can't access I-66 west from I-495's inner and outer loops. Cars are backed up two miles to Route 267.Β 

Delays start past Route 7 on the outer loop. Inner loop delays begin about a mile out at Route 50, according to Fairfax County.
