Metro To Recruit Vets at Job Fair

The job fair is on Nov. 14

The Metro system will recruit veterans to work as engineers and officers among other positions at its second annual military open house from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Nov. 14.

Metro is seeking hundreds of candidates to fill current and upcoming positions, including:

  • Civil engineers
  • Mechanical engineers
  • Electrical engineers
  • Architects
  • Construction inspectors
  • Construction project managers

In addition, Metro is seeking candidates for operations positions including:

  • Police officers
  • Bus operators
  • Information Technology
  • Signal/Communications
  • Electrical technicians
  • Fare Technology
  • Bus mechanics
  • Rail car maintenance

The open house will be held on the lower lobby of Metro’s headquarters at 600 Fifth Street, Northwest in D.C.

Veterans interested in attending the open house are encouraged to register online by Thursday, Nov. 10, at wmata.com/military. Special assistance will be provided for disabled veterans attending the event.
