Older Cats in the Spotlight at Fairfax County Animal Shelter

A special adoption event takes place this week.

The Fairfax County Animal Shelter is hoping pet adopters will not look over oldies but goodies this week.

Cats five years and older will be available for adoption for $15, half the normal fee. Those who adopt will also receive a gift bag with cat bed, food, scratching toys, and cat toys.

The older cats will also receive a free spay or neuter and will be current on all vaccinations. Anyone adopting a cat seven years or older will also receive a free full panel of blood work on the adopted cat (provided by the shelter’s contract veterinarian) to give the adopter basic health information about the cat.
