Roadwork Could Cause I-495 Weekend Delays

The roadwork is scheduled for Saturday.

Roadwork could cause delays this weekend on I-495 south just before the Braddock Road exit.

Virginia Department of Transportation officials are closing all lanes on I-495 south just before exit 54, Braddock Road, starting at about 10 p.m. on Friday. Crews will install a 230-ton steel bridge girder.

All I-495 south traffic will be detoured around the Braddock Road exit. Police will be onsite to redirect traffic, transportation officials said.
