The D.C.-based non-for-profit organization works to create job opportunities for individuals who are visually impaired.
The Braille Rally held on Saturday at Burke Lake Park is a motor race that emphasizes navigation and time keeping. Blind and visually impaired participants are navigators on two-person teams. The directions and landmark descriptions are written in Braille so the team members work together to complete the course.
