Young Golfers Compete in Tournament This Weekend

At least one Fairfax Station teen is participating

Young area golfers are competing all weekend at the 54-hole SEVPRO CAGT Junior Golf Tour.

At least one teen from Fairfax Station, David Rabil, will compete. Play is set to tee off at 11 a.m. each day of the tournament at the Herndon Centennial Golf Course at 909 Ferndale Avenue in Herndon.

Catie Liebeck, of West Potomac High School and the tour's 2010-2011 tour player of the year, highlights the competitors in the girls division.

CAGT hosts weekend golf events for boys and girls high school aged, and younger, throughout the fall and spring.  For the past two years it has hosted local qualifying, in both Maryland and Virginia, for the Callaway Junior World Golf Championships held at Torrey Pines and other golf course each July, in San Diego, California.
