Fairfax Bike Summit on Nov. 2
Fairfax Advocates for Better Bicycling will host the Fairfax Bike Summit to discuss the role of bicycling in the transformation of Tysons into a livable, walkable, and sustainable community. The Metrorail Silver Line stations are the foundation of the radical transportation change, and bicycles will be a key tool in the new ways of travel. The remaking of Tysons will influence development and transportation across Fairfax County for the next 40 years. Throughout the county, bicycle transportation will be a vital link in local travel choices.
The summit will be held at George Mason University, Fairfax, Virginia, on Saturday, November 2, from 10:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. and is open to everyone, such as interested citizens, community and business leaders, health professionals, and folks who simply want more options for getting around their communities. A limited number of slots are available for the pre-summit workshop, Infrastructure Advocacy 101, that will be held from 9-9:45 a.m. Lunch will be provided. Register online.
